Ryan Murphy

Dr Ryan J. Murphy is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Melbourne.

Ryan is currently working with Dr Stuart Johnston, Dr Matt Faria, and Associate Professor James Osborne to explore nanoparticle-cell interactions and bridge the gap between simple routine biological experiments and complicated organoid experiments. Ryan also has a range of interests in discrete-to-continuum modelling, free boundary problems, parameter inference, identifiability analysis and prediction, and population dynamics. Ryan’s applications of interest include epithelial tissues, 2D and 3D cancer growth, crypts, and ecological population dynamics.
